I’m Anna, your Andalusian Spanish teacher, dedicated to helping you speak authentic Andalusian Spanish with confidence and ease.
My passion is making Spanish learning enjoyable, practical and empowering, so you can actually use it in real life, not just memorise phrases for a holiday.
I’ve been in love with languages since I was little, thanks to family holidays to Spain that sparked my love for Spanish! That passion turned into a career: I studied Spanish and Portuguese at university, graduating with First Class Honours in 2021. Then I moved to Spain, where I’ve been teaching languages ever since – first in Madrid, now in the heart of beautiful Granada in Andalucía.

With years of experience as a teacher and a love for making learning fun and empowering, I created Soltura Spanish to help students like you feel confident, motivated and actually enjoy learning Spanish. In my classes, you’ll learn Spanish for life – not just random phrases, not just for an exam, not just for a holiday, and definitely not to just forget five minutes later.
We’ll focus on lasting skills that stick with you and really mean something in your day-to-day life! You’ll learn to speak Andalusian Spanish naturally, with all the cultural nuances that make the language come alive.

I’m a member of The Tutors’ Association (TTA) and a safeguarding-trained tutor. Alongside my teaching certifications and CPD-certified training, I’ve received awards for spoken distinction in Spanish and Portuguese — reflecting my love of pronunciation, expression and authentic communication.
Fun Facts About Me
1. I’ve always been a language ‘friki’ 🤓
In my second year at uni I won a scholarship prize for Portuguese (top of my year), and when I graduated I received distinctions in spoken Spanish and Portuguese.
I love learning the intricacies of languages, and that enthusiasm is at the heart of every lesson.
2. A very Madrileña-Andaluza story 🇪🇸
My Spanish journey started in Málaga (au pairing in 2018), continued in Madrid for Erasmus (and another year living there), and eventually brought me back home to Andalusia.
Both places hold such a special place in my heart!
3. Living Andalusian life, every day 🪭
I get to experience the richness of Andalusian culture, accent and lifestyle daily and it forms such a big part of my teaching. I really love how there’s so much culture behind every word.
Spanish isn’t just something I teach, it’s how I live!
4. All or nothing 🌟
For years I chased my dream of fluency, working super hard so I could finally live in Spain. Now I am building a beautiful, vibrant life here. There was no plan B!

What Does Soltura Mean?
At Soltura Spanish, learning is about connecting and growing while you do it. Many students choose me as their Andalusian Spanish teacher because I make Andalusian Spanish fun, relevant and confidence-boosting from day one.
The Spanish word soltura means speaking or doing something with ease, confidence and natural fluency. As an Andalusian Spanish teacher, my goal is for you to speak Andalusian Spanish freely and proudly, moving through the dialect with comfort, joy and confidence.
