Hola, I'm Anna

Your Andalusian Spanish Coach living under the southern Spanish sun

Anna, Andalusian Spanish teacher, teaching online classes

I help people learn to understand real Andalusian Spanish, communicate with confidence and feel more at home in everyday life in Andalucía.

I’ve loved languages for as long as I can remember.

What started with childhood trips to Spain eventually became a degree in Spanish and Portuguese, and later a move to Spain after graduating with First Class Honours.

I’ve lived in different parts of Spain (from Málaga to Madrid, and now Granada) and over time I realised something important:

knowing Spanish in theory and using it in real life in Andalucía are two very different things 😅

That gap is what led me to create Soltura.

What does Soltura mean?

The Spanish word soltura means speaking or doing something with ease, confidence and natural fluency.

At Soltura, it’s not about memorising phrases or studying textbook Spanish. It’s about helping you bridge the gap between what you already know and the way Spanish is actually spoken in Andalucía, so you can…

✨ Understand locals when they speak fast

✨ Communicate more naturally

✨ Feel confident in real conversations

✨ Feel genuinely at home here

My approach

My approach is practical, supportive and rooted in real-life Spanish, not exam Spanish or holiday Spanish. We focus on confidence, listening, speaking and the cultural context behind how people actually communicate in Andalucía. Spanish isn’t just something you study, it’s something you live.

1. I've always been a language 'friki' 🤓

In my second year at uni I won a scholarship prize for Portuguese (top of my year), and when I graduated I received distinctions in spoken Spanish and Portuguese. I love learning the intricacies of languages, and that enthusiasm is at the heart of every lesson.

2. A very Madrileña-Andaluza story 🇪🇸

My Spanish journey started in Málaga (au pairing in 2018), continued in Madrid for Erasmus (and another year living there), and eventually brought me back home to Andalusia. Both places hold such a special place in my heart!
